Boomslang Breaks with STYLUS REX guest mix 30th April

This week on Boomslang Breaks I’m rather excited (to say the least) about bringing you a brand new guest mix from the very lovely and talented Stylus Rex!

Stylus Rex was first conceived during a mushroom session on Christmas day a good few years back when a younger brother showed an older brother how to mix vinyl. The first release as Stylus Rex on JDS’s Punk Funk label marked the outfit as one to watch, a fact bourn out by last year’s Squelch Freak and Serious Wobble singles that gained the support of Meat Katie, Stanton Warriors, Rennie Pilgrem, and Ali B. The latest single ‘Cops On Coke’ released through the fast emerging Ground Level label has received 4 & 5 star reviews in all the major dance publications & their DJ work has seen them rock through clubs like Air, Heaven, Spectrum, Ministry, Adventures of the Purple Monkey and The Cross to name a few. With a non-conformist approach to tune selection expect to hear Breaks-Tech-Wonk-House-Electro-Rock-Wobble-Step all with a close eye on the dance-floor!
